I recently had the pleasure of being a guest on The Wholesome Way with Alexander Lobb, a podcast dedicated to helping listeners take practical steps toward better physical and mental well-being. His show creates a thoughtful space where honest conversations with wellbeing experts serve as a kind of map and compass for those seeking more balance, purpose, and alignment in their life journey.

In our conversation, we explored the idea of “emotional digestion” — how emotions, much like food, need to be processed rather than suppressed. I shared how unprocessed emotions can remain in the body as mental and physical tension, and how learning to listen to them as messages can restore emotional balance and inner clarity. We also spoke about Ayurveda and the wisdom of aligning our lifestyle with the rhythms of nature and the seasons to support vitality on all levels: body, mind, and spirit.

Together, we reflected on the link between repressed grief and physical health, the importance of responding instead of reacting to stress, and simple practices such as breath awareness, self-inquiry, and mindful pauses to help emotions move rather than stagnate.

This episode is a dialogue about returning to ourselves — not by avoiding emotions, but by understanding, integrating, and allowing them to guide us toward a more vibrant, grounded, and wholesome way of living.
